We’re back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Masaki Martial Arts competition team! After a year of intense training, late nights, extra practices and nonstop dedication, our athletes put their skills to the test at the AAU National Karate Championships—and they absolutely delivered.
Competing in both kata (forms) and kumite (sparring), our team faced tough competition from across the country. But all that hard work paid off: we brought home multiple medals—including three gold!
Each athlete gave it their all, demonstrating the focus, precision, and discipline that define traditional karate. The kata performances were powerful and clean, reflecting the countless hours spent perfecting every stance and movement. In kumite, our competitors showed incredible speed, strategy, and spirit, earning well-deserved victories and respect.
This national stage wasn’t just about winning—though the medals are certainly a bonus! It was about growth, teamwork, and representing our dojo with honor. Watching our students support one another, stay humble in victory, and learn from every match was a true testament to the character they’ve built over the past year.
To our competitors: you’ve made your instructors, your teammates, and your entire Masaki Martial Arts family proud. Your dedication and heart are what make you champions—on and off the mat.
